At the end of a typical evening news report on Alaskan network KTVA, television journalist Charlo Greene spectacularly quit her job live on air.

The aptly named Greene revealed herself as the owner of the medical marijuana business Alaska Cannabis Club and told viewers that she’d be using all of her energy to fight for legalising marijuana in Alaska.

Charlo Greene revealed herself as the owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club.
She had reported on the Alaska Cannabis Club during the night’s broadcast, without revealing her connection to it, saving the surprise twist for the end as she prepared for a dramatic exit.

After announcing that she was the club’s owner, she noted she could no longer continue her current and job and declared, “And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, f**k it, I quit”.

In an effort to save face, KTVA tweeted an apology for Greene’s behaviour and followed up by claiming that she had been terminated.
