JUST IN: Heavy Fighting This Morning Between Cameroonian Soldiers & Boko Haram; 3 Cameroonian Soldiers Killed, Several Boko Haram Dead

Heavy fighting erupted Wednesday [FEB. 4] between Cameroonian soldiers and Nigerian Islamist Boko Haram in the city of Fotokol at the Cameroonian-Nigerian border, stopped mid-morning, said a journalist from AFP.

Moments ago, Cameroon Defence Ministry announced the attack on Fotokol has been beaten back with 3 Cameroonian soldiers killed and several Boko Haram members dead.

Chadian troops entered Nigeria’s soil yesterday and inflicted have casualties on Boko Haram in Gamboru during heavy clashes.

According to Chadian Newspaper, alwihdainfo, over two hundred Boko Haram fighters were killed during the assault of the Chadian army in the city of Gambarou. Ten vehicles and a hundred motorcycles were recovered by the Chadian army during the offensive yesterday, Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Gambaro, according to a preliminary assessment provided by the General Staff. Nine (9) Chadian soldiers were killed and 21 injured in clashes with Boko Haram Gambarou.

Cameroonian soldiers said it repelled the Islamists and fire gradually ceased in the city of Fotokol.
