PHOTO: Caskets Rise From The Grave After Hurricane Sandy

A scary scene at a cemetery in Crisfield, Maryland, two caskets came up from the ground due to the extreme winds, water and force from Hurricane Sandy.

One silver and the other bronze rose up from the ground as the sheer force of the water unleashed by Sandy swelled the ground.

It was the powerful superstorm that was strong enough to dislodge the cement slabs that covered the graves.

Nurse Kills 80-Year-Old Patient By Accidentally Injecting Coffee Into Patient’s Veins…"Anyone Can Get Confused”, She Said

A 23-year-old nurse allegedly made a fatal mistake when she injected coffee and milk into the veins of an 80-year-old patient at a clinic in Rio de Janeiro.

The elderly lady died after the student nurse made the grave error, Medical Daily reported. The nurse later defended her mistake in a television interview, and said "anyone can get confused”.

Lovers In Court For Allegedly Killing Ex-Lover – In Lagos

A 27-year-old transporter and his 22-year-old girlfriend were arraigned in Lagos on Tuesday [Oct. 30] for allegedly killing the woman’s (former) lover.

The defendants, David Omoregbe and Temisan Bolodeoku, an apprentice tailor, are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and alleged killing before a Yaba Magistrates’ Court.

SUPERSTORM SANDY: Moment A Man Crawled From The Wreckage Of A Building Destroyed By Sandy & Was Promptly Arrested For Looting [VIDEO]

Firefighters believed the collapsed building in the north of Philadelphia was empty until they heard the man crawling out of the wreckage
Rescuers in Philadelphia pulled a man from the wreckage of a collapsed building on Monday [Oct. 29] - and then promptly arrested him for looting. 

The abandoned three-storey building in the north of the city had been reduced to rubble after Superstorm Sandy battered the east coast of the United States. 

Firefighters working to make the building safe didn't think anyone was inside, until they heard someone crawling out of the rubble. 

After helping him to safety, police officers arrested him for disorderly conduct on the suspicion that he had crawled in to the building, located on Cumberland Street, looking for things to loot. 

It came as thousands of National Guard troops were mobilised to prevent looting sprees on homes and shops in New York and Long Island.  Scores of trouble makers took to Twitter threatening to ransack stores and burgle abandoned homes as Sandy passed.

It prompted the New York National Guard to deploy 1,175 troops in New York City, Long Island and the Hudson Valley to maintain law and order.

Sandy hit the mainland at 6.30pm local time on Monday, having battered the eastern coast all day with 13ft waves, causing widespread flooding, damage to buildings and power cuts.

A British woman was raped in an alley — and then sexually assaulted AGAIN by a passer-by as she lay slumped on the ground.

Predator Mustafa Yussuf, 21, was yesterday [Oct. 29] jailed for the first attack but the second rapist has not been caught. A court heard how the victim had left a club alone in Manchester in the early hours of New Year’s Day when she was suddenly marched down an alleyway by Yussuf.

She was barely able to stand after drinking heavily and Yussuf raped her before fleeing.

VIDEO: Chinese Child Severely Brain Damaged After Horrific Beating By Teacher
Close circuit television captured disturbing footage from a Chinese preschool in Guangzhou in which a female teacher appears to beat a 4-year-old girl, according to a translation by The Huffington Post.

The surveillance footage shows the teacher tossing the child to the ground. She then appears to kick her, pick her up and drop her to the floor again. The child, who was knocked unconscious, was taken to a hospital with severe injuries.

3rd Mainland Bridge Reopens Today [Tuesday, Oct. 30]…IT’S OFFICIAL

The Federal Government will today (Tuesday, Oct. 30) reopen the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos, one week ahead of the scheduled delivery date of November 6, 2012.

The government had partially closed the bridge on July 7 to enable the contractor, Messrs Boroni Prono and Company Limited, replace eight expansion joints on the bridge for a contract sum of N1bn.

According to reports, the suspect was arrested at his house in Onikolobo, Abeokuta Monday and was whisked away by the policemen who reportedly laid ambush for him.

US President Barack Obama - I Don’t Worry About My Daughter Dating...She’s Got Protection Agents [VIDEO]

US President Barack Obama has told how he doesn't mind his daughter going on dates - as she has secret service protection.

Talking to MTV, Obama was quizzed about whether he was more worried about Malia getting her driving licence, going out on a date, or using Facebook.

He replied: "I'd worry about Facebook, right now. Only because - I know the folks at Facebook, they've revolutionised social networks - but Malia because she's well-known, I'm very keen on her protecting her privacy”.

And he added: "Right now, even just for security reasons, she doesn't have a Facebook page”.

He went on to tell interviewer Sway Calloway how protection officers would make sure his little girl was looked after at all times.

Obama who is campaigning for a second term as President, was talking to MTV in an attempt to woo the youth vote ahead of the November 2 election.

But he already has a dedicated celebrity fan base, with Firework singer Katy Perry recently performing in a tight white rubber dress printed up like an election ballot slip - with a check next to Obama's name.

And other stars supporting Obama's campaign include Hollywood favourites Scarlett Johansson and George Clooney, as well as Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am.

UK Jails Nigerian ‘Witchcraft’ Sex Trafficker For 20 Years

LONDON, (AFP) – A Nigerian sex trafficker who used witchcraft rituals to silence the teenage girls he smuggled into Britain for prostitution was jailed for 20 years on Monday [Oct. 29].

Osezua Osolase, 42, tricked three impoverished Nigerian orphans into travelling to Britain before attempting to sell them to gangs in Europe for prostitution.

The recycling plant worker, who lived in Kent, southeast England, used West African juju rituals to instill terror in the three girls, aged 14, 16 and 17.

Two Feared Dead In Port Harcourt Failed Jailbreak

Two inmates of the Federal Prisons, Ahoada, Rivers State, were on Saturday [Oct. 28] feared dead while a prison staff was hurt during a foiled jailbreak.

A source at the Rivers State Prisons command told Nigerian Tribune that the attempted jail break was contained, but was unaware of the death of the inmates.

“I know that a member of staff was injured in the process but I don’t know about the death of any inmate. Actually, the inmates are those from the Bayelsa State command who are being kept in Ahoada prison. They were embarking on a riot”, the source said.

Man Goes Berserk In Kaduna…Stabs Two To Death, Injures Several Others

Kaduna was thrown into confusion last night [Oct. 27] after a man went berserk, stabbing his victims at the back of the neck. Two of those so attacked at Kano/Hadejia Streets were said to have died.

News of the incident broke in the early part of the evening but the situation was soon brought under control after residents overpowered the suspect and handed him over to the police. The police confirmed that they had him in their custody.

Two Nigerians Resident In The U.S. Jailed For Bank Fraud…Oluyinka Akinadewo Bagged 46 Months & Olabimpe Olejiya Bagged 35 Months ONLY

Oluyinka Akinadewo was on Thursday [Oct. 25.] sentenced to 46 months in prison in connection with his participation in a scheme in which compromised identity information was used to commit bank fraud throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Akinadewo’s co- defendant, Olabimpe M. Olejiya, was sentenced on October 11, 2012, to 35 months in prison for his participation in the scheme and his attempted flight from prosecution.

14-Year-Old Boy Gets 25-50 Years In Prison After Shooting His Mother In Her Sleep


A teenage boy has been sentenced to serve 25 to 50 years in prison for killing his 36-year-old mother in their Detroit home.

Joshua Smith was sentenced Friday [Oct. 26] in Wayne County Circuit Court.

The 14-year-old shot and killed Tamiko Robinson as she slept on Feb. 27. Police say the shooting followed an argument.

Smith was charged as an adult and pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in September 2012.

In a statement to police, Smith said he was tired of being called names. His stepfather’s shotgun was used to kill Robinson.

STOWAWAY: Nigerian Man Found Dead In The Wheel Well Of An Arik Air Aircraft After It Returned From A Flight To New York

The dead body of a young Nigerian man was discovered Friday [Oct. 26] in the wheel well, the undercarriage compartment of an Arik Air aircraft, after it returned from a flight to New York, United States.

One of the airline’s officials who spoke to THISDAY said the deceased might have hidden himself in the wheel well for days and was crushed to death while the flight was airborne to the JF Kennedy Airport, New York, from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

HELICOPTER CRASH: Thugs Storm Taraba Govt House, Chased Out Deputy Gov From Succeeding Gov Danbaba In The Event That He Did Not Survive

As doctors at the Yola Specialist Hospital battled on Thursday [Oct. 25] to save the life of Governor Danbaba Suntai of Taraba State after he was involved in a plane crash, a band of thugs invaded Government House, Jalingo and chased out his deputy, Alhaji Garba Umar.

The invasion, which is now being probed by the State Security Service (SSS), is strongly suspected to be part of a plot to stop Umar from succeeding Suntai in the event that the governor did not survive.
