'Somehow I knew it was acid': Naomi Oni describes the horrific attack that left her with chemical burns
A woman is to be charged in connection with an acid attack on a shop worker that left her with horrific injuries, the Crown Prosecution Service announced today [Apr. 30].

Naomi Oni, 21, suffered burns and lost her hair and eyelashes after the chemical was thrown at her in Lodge Avenue, Dagenham, east London at around 12.40am on December 30.

The police at Sango Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria have arrested a cow following the killing of 24-year-old Azeez Salako at Ilata area of Ota, a suburb of Ogun State.

PMnews reported that youths in Ilata Ota were planning to hold a carnival on Saturday 27 April, 2013 and there was an argument between some of the youths which led to a fight and one of the boys identified as Dayo broke a bottle which he used to stab Salako in the neck and he bled to death.

Lagos State Police Command has started investigation into the murder of a banker, Adindu Ohamara, who was stabbed to death by his suspected homosexual lover in Akoka, Bariga Area of Lagos State, reported PUNCH.

It was gathered that Ohamara lived in a three-bedroom flat with his elder sister, Flora and one Collins, an undergraduate of the University of Lagos. According to residents, the banker was stabbed repeatedly at his residence located at 26 Obayan Street.

He spent 10 days in hospital being treated for the illness, which followed an earlier hospitalisation in December when he developed a lung infection and gallstones.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been banned for 10 games by the Football Association for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic. The incident happened during Sunday's 2-2 draw between the sides.
