Tragedy struck in Niger State, as a 28-year-old man, Umar Mohammed, jumped into a well, committing suicide at New Bussa, in Borgu LGA of the state, after attacking his girlfriend with cutlass and left her in a pool of her own blood over suspicion that she was dating another man.

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola, yesterday [Sept. 29] expressed disappointment at those inflating the death toll at the building collapse which occurred that the premises of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, on September 12, saying many who are in shock are counted as dead.

A woman who had been raped pleaded for help from a passer-by, only to be told: "I'm going to do the same thing to you", a court heard. The 31-year-old victim had just been attacked by Nicholas Isaac, 17, as she walked home in New York at 5am on August 31, prosecutors allege.

Gossips making the rounds have it that Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwa Savage and her hubby, Tunji Balogun, aka Tee Billz, are presently experiencing marital crisis.

Today, 26 September, is Tunji's birthday,  it seems he’s the only person who remembers this…although congratulatory messages have started pouring in, from the couple’s celebs friends – Tiwa probably has forgotten today is her hubby’s birth date – kind of unusual of her.

Just recently, Hip TV claims Tiwa Savage sacked her hubby, Tunji, from being her manager...he’s no longer in charge of her calls and he has also stopped accompanying her to events, example – the recently concluded Africa unplugged which held in London. Report says they were not together at the event.

Tee Billz took to his instagram page this morning [Sept 26] where he posted his image wishing himself a Happy Birthday - without “tagging” his wife, Tiwa, which obviously of course he shouldn’t ….

In his birthday message - Tee Billz sounded he was only mortal and prone to mistakes – he asked for forgiveness and help (sounds like referencing Tiwa) in the days ahead...And of course such help could only make him a better person.

NEW YORK - The United States voiced skepticism Thursday [Sept. 25] over reports from the Nigerian military that Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau had been killed in recent clashes with troops.

"The Nigerians have announced several times that the head of Boko Haram was dead and every single time we find out that it is not true", a senior State Department official told reporters. "What I read recently is that Shekau's lookalike or some Shekau impostor was killed and then I read later that maybe Shekau himself was killed. I don't put a lot of weight on those stories until we see more evidence," the official added, asking not to be identified.

The wife of the resident pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church (C.A.C), Otumara parish, Mrs. Grace Kayode and four of her children were burnt to death on Wednesday [Sept. 24] by a mystery fire at the Mission’s House located within the church premises at Emiko Close, behind the Mobile Police Base, Warri, Delta State.

27-year-old Mrs. Bethelyn Falade has been arraigned for allegedly torturing her housemaid with hot water. The woman was said to have poured the hot water on the girl, Chinecherem Sunday, as punishment for her stubbornness.

The police said the hot water inflicted wounds on her chest in the process. It was gathered that Falade’s act was triggered by her missing laptop which the housemaid said was taken by her brother-in-law, identified simply as Lekan, while she was not around.
